HS Baseball: Payne's Big Day Leads Mt. Pulaski Over Cornerstone Christian Academy

Chance Payne drove in six runs, leading Mt. Pulaski to a 10-0 win over Cornerstone Christian Academy in non-conference high school baseball action from Mt. Pulaski on Friday. 

 

Payne capped a six-run third inning with a three-run double. He was 3-for-4 with a double and six  RBIs. 

 

Liam Smith was 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI, and scored three runs. 

 

Eric Cooper, Aaron Volle, and Carter Clark combined to shut out Calvary Christian.

 

The Hilltoppers are 16-3 overall. They host Springfield High on Tuesday.
