HS Baseball: Clinton Walks Off Central A&M

Brayden Parker scored the winning run on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning and Clinton rallied thrice to top Central A&M 10-9 in Central Illinois Conference high school baseball action on Tuesday at Clinton High School. 

 

The Maroons went up 3-0 on a Cole Fentress two-run home run. 

 

In the bottom of the third, Josh Bass stayed hot with a solo home run.

 

Trailing 9-8 in the bottom of the seventh, Fentress scored the tying run on a Raiders' error. Then, with Parker on third, he scored the winning run on a wild pitch, securing the thrilling victory.

 

Jack Manning led Clinton going 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Bass was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Fentress finished 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, and two RBIs. Ryan Pine contributed a double and two RBIs while Jaxon Reynolds had a double and an RBI. Colton Walker added a double. 

 

The Maroons even its record at 12-12 overall and  6-4 in the Central Illinois Conference. They host Lincoln on Friday. Hear the action on WHOW and all our digital platforms.
