Normal West scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and rallied past Peoria Notre Dame 4-3 in Big 12 high school baseball action on Friday in Normal.
Cooper Temples and Brady Hart hit back-to-back one-out singles. After Chase Knuth struck out, the Wildcats went to work.
A balk scored Temples. After Drew Hart walked, Ryder Coone hit a two-run single to give Normal West its first lead of the game, 4-3.
Chase Reinhart went the distance, allowing three runs, one was earned, on seven hits with 11 strikeouts and a walk.
Knuth hit a game-tying home run in the fourth inning. He went 1-for-3. No Wildcats hitter had multiple hits. Coone was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Temples, Hart, and Gage Flairty had hits for Normal West.
The Wildcats improve to 19-9 overall and 13-3 in the Big 12. They host Peoria Richwoods on Monday.
