Mitch Williams fired a complete game, four-hit shutout, leading Maroa-Forsyth over LeRoy 4-0 in non-conference high school baseball action on Friday in Forsyth.
Williams struck out ten and walked two. The senior was 3-for-4 with two RBIs at the plate.
Ian Haynes doubled in Cayden Rose in the second inning. Williams followed that a base hit that scored Haynes to put the Trojans up 2-0.
It was all the offense the Trojans would need.
Cayden Rose's sac-fly in the third scored Grady Rose to make it 3-0 Maroa-Forsyth.
The Trojans put the game out of reach with a three-run sixth. Another Williams base hit scored Cayden Rose. A pair of wild pitches allowed Colby Parrott and Williams to score to make it 6-0.
Tate Brandenberg was 1-for-4 with a double. Haynes was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
Maroa-Forsyth goes to 18-7 overall. They host Prairie Central on Saturday.
