Maroa-Forsyth built a 6-0 lead, but Tri-Valley chipped away and rallied to a walk-off 7-6 win in non-conference high school softball action from Downs on Saturday.
In the first inning, Aubrey Stewart scored Maggie Ravenscraft, then Danni Hovey brought in both Stewart and Taylor Crouch to put the Lady Trojans up 3-0.
In the third inning, with two outs, Lainey Larner had an RBI sac fly, scoring Aubrey Berg - running for Hovey. Blake Osborn reached on an error to bring in a run-scoring Stewart to put Maroa-Forsyth up 6-0.
It was all Lady Vikings after that. Tri-Valley walked it off, trailing 6-5, with two runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Ravenscraft was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for the Lady Trojans.
Maroa-Forsyth falls to 11-10 overall. They will host Taylorville on Tuesday.
