Isabella Beery raced around the bases on a single that featured two errors and propelled Monticello over Olympia 5-2 in non-conference high school softball from Stanford on Monday.

Cassidee Stoffel singled to start the sixth inning with the score tied at 2-2. 

Beery singled to right field. Dacey Kooi, running for Stoffel, took third on an error, allowing Beery to take second base. Another error allowed both Kooi and Beery to score and put the Lady Sages ahead 4-2. 

Beery added an insurance run for Monticello with an RBI single in the top of the seventh. She finished 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Stoffel was 2-for-4 with an RBI while Ashley Stiverson and Lucy Leatherwood each drove in a run. The Key was 1-for-4 with a double.

The Lady Sages go to 23-5 overall. They visit Mahomet-Seymour on Tuesday.
