A five-run outburst in the third inning propelled Lincoln over Decatur MacArthur 10-0 in a five-inning, run-rule win in non-conference high school baseball action Tuesday from Decatur.
Ashton Corley and Austin Lucas hit back-to-back singles to start the inning. Drew Hayes reached on an error, scoring Corley.
With two on and one out, Jayden Gulley tripled in two to make it 4-0 Railsplitters. Griffin Shaw reached on an error, scoring Gulley, and a misplayed fly ball in right field scored Shaw to make it 6-0 Lincoln.
Graue struck out seven across 4 2/3 innings of three-hit ball. Gulley led Lincoln going 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, while Lucas finished 2-for-3 with an RBI. Corley went 2-for-3 for the Railers, and Owen Cornstock had the other Lincoln hit and RBI.
The Railsplitters go to 11-14 overall. They travel to 25-5 Pleasant Plains on Wednesday.
