Isabella Beery hit a two-run home run and drove in three, but it wasn't enough to spark Monticello in a 13-7 loss to Tri-Valley in Class 2A high school softball Regional semifinal action on Wednesday in Monticello.
Wednesday's game was a makeup of a Tuesday rainout.
Beery's two-run home run in the third cut into a 10-2 deficit for Monticello.
Sadie Walsh was 4-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored for the Lady Sages. Thea Key finished 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI while Madison Highland was 2-for-3 with a double.
The Lady Vikings slugged three home runs in the game. They advance to take on Tolono Unity on Friday afternoon for the Regional Championship.
Monticello finishes its season 24-7.
