Mitch Williams went the distance and led Maroa-Forsyth over Warrensburg-Latham 6-1 in Class 2A high school baseball Regional semifinal action on Wednesday in Decatur.
The senior allowed a run on six hits and struck out six while walking two.
Maroa-Forsyth jumped out to an early 5-1 lead. Tate Brandenburg finished 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Grady Rose was 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs batted in. Cayden Rose drove in the other run for the Trojans.
Trenton Bridges drove in the only run on a triple for the Cardinals while Nathan Southern was 2-for-4.
Warrensburg-Latham finishes the season 24-6 overall.
Maroa-Forsyth goes to 21-8 overall and will take on Monticello for a Regional Championship on Saturday.
