Benet Academy jumped out early and held off Washington 6-3 in a Class 3A Supersectional from Geneseo on Monday.

Micah McCoy hit a solo home run in the top of the first inning for the Panthers but Benet responded with four runs and held on from there. 

McCoy finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored on the solo home run. Anson Zaiser was 2-for-4. 

Washington finishes the season 28-11.
