Luke Klunke went 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball, leading Normal Community to a 2-0 win over Waubansi Valley in a Class 4A Supersectional Monday from Illinois Wesleyan University in Normal.

Klunke struck out five while working around five walks and four hits. Luke Beaty struck out the game's final batter to preserve the Ironmen's shutout. 

Kyle Beaty and Brady Burkhart drove in runs for Normal Community, and Gavin Michaels hit a triple that set up Beaty's RBI. 

Normal Community improves to 36-4 and advances to this weekend's state finals. They will take on Libertyville at 4 pm on Friday in Joliet.
