One of the most team-oriented groups he's ever had is how one central Illinois football coach is describing his team this year.

Coach Clay Haurberg has had to rebuild the Argenta-Oreana football program from nearly square one since COVID and believes this year's group has the right mindset to be successful.

Coach Haurberg returns several key components to last year's team - including a three-year starting quarterback. He is very excited to see what this group can do.

According to Coach Haurberg, this senior class was one of the early groups he had that had to see a lot of playing time at the varsity level when perhaps they were not ready for it because he was trying to build the program back up.

The Bombers start the regular season at Nokomis and Toledo-Cumberland before their first home game with Arcola on Sept. 12.
