The Monticello Sages will host rival Tolono Unity in Illini Prairie Conference high school football week two action tonight in Monticello.
The Sages opened the season with 21-6 win over IVC and Coach Cully Welter says his team was possibly humbled after its win over the Grey Ghosts on Friday night and realized there are a lot of areas they can improve on.
Coach Welter says last week's practices weren't the best for his team but has felt better with what he saw from his team this week. He feels he has a group that will take to heart the things they need to do to get better.
The Sages will have its hands full with Tolono Unity this week. The Rockets made a State semifinal appearance last year, where they were knocked off by Monticello, and return a good number of players from that team.
