Despite the lopsided score, Clinton is hoping the positive things they did last week will carry over into tonight’s Heart of Central Illinois Conference tilt with Tuscola.
Coming off a 55-0 loss to state-ranked Seneca, Coach Ron Bass says he was pleased with some of the things he saw from his defense and believes some of the offensive issues will be worked out over the next weeks.
The Maroons made a change at quarterback before last week’s game - Josh Bass took over under center and Keaton Graves moved to the receiver position. Coach Bass says the decision to make the switch was to improve their perimeter game.
With the first third of the regular season in the books, Coach Bass is focusing on the improvement his kids have made - not their record.
The 0-3 Maroons will stick with the change at quarterback when they travel to Tuscola. Coach Bass says the defense will be challenged by the Warriors' size.
Tuscola is 2-1 on the season - coming off a one-point loss to Tri-Valley.
Kick off tonight is at 7 PM. Hear the action on WHOW and all its digital platforms.
