A beaten-up Clinton football squad heads to Eureka tonight in a Heart of Central Illinois Conference tilt.
The Maroons allowed 32 points in the second quarter en route to a 39-0 loss last Friday night in Tuscola. Despite having numerous injuries to battle through in the second half, Coach Ron Bass was pleased with his team's fight in the second half to avoid the mercy-rule running clock.
Clinton (0-4) will continue to look to establish the run against 1-3 Eureka - who Coach Bass notes have had about the same amount of luck as his team, trying to keep kids healthy.
The Maroons could be without some key contributors this week, and Coach Bass indicates they've been making plans for those potential absences with different players getting varsity reps in practice this week.
Game time tonight is 7 pm. Hear all the action on WHOW and all its digital platforms.
