Eastern Illinois plays the next two weeks at home, hosting Tennessee State this week before welcoming Gardner-Webb to town next Saturday, Oct. 11, for homecoming. EIU moved to .500 (2-2) on the season and 1-0 in the OVC-Big South as the Panthers went on the road for their first win in Macomb since 1990 with a 31-23 victory at Western Illinois.     

Tennessee State will be going on the road for the first time this season as the Tigers are 1-3 on the year, 0-1 in the OVC-Big South after a conference-opening loss to Tennessee Tech.

Jacarre Fleming was named the STATS Perform FCS National Freshman of the Week on Monday following his performance in the road win at Western Illinois.  Fleming rushed for 111 yards on nine carries (12.3 ypc avg.), including two touchdown runs of 55 and 30 yards.  He finished the game with 177 all-purpose yards with one reception for five yards and three kick returns for 61 yards.
