In a game heard on WHOW and all its digital platforms, the Clinton Maroons were without key players and were unable to stop the run and fell to the El Paso-Gridley Titans by a final score of 64-0.
The Maroons were led by Senior QB Josh Bass, who threw for 18 yards and rushed for 23 yards. Lucas Baker added 18 receiving yards while Zach Potts contributed 7 rushing yards.
The Titans lived up to their mascot's name, particularly RB Aaden Adams, who achieved 183 rushing yards on only six carries, the final four of which were touchdowns. QB Owen Adams only completed 33% of his passes, but still threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Noah Whitman, Andrik Schippert, Nathaniel Hayes, Cha’von Maxon, and Brayden Hiles all contributed a touchdown as well.
With the loss, Clinton falls to 0-8 and 0-4 in the Heart of Central Illinois Conference while EPG stays perfect at 8-0 and 5-0 in the Conference.
