HS FBall: Clinton Travels to Tremont

Clinton will look to get in the win column for the 2025 high school football season when it travels to Tremont for a Heart of Central Illinois Conference matchup.

The Maroons will look to bounce back after a 64-0 loss to El Paso-Gridley. Clinton coach Ron Bass says while the Turks enter play 1-7, his team cannot afford to take for granted their last opportunity for a win.

Clinton will try to stop the Turks' run game and contain their main pass catcher. Bass hopes his defense can take advantage of a relatively simple offensive scheme under a new coach, but notes they could be in trouble if they aren't disciplined.

Clinton has been no stranger to adversity this season, but Coach Bass has been proud of the way his guys have stayed focused and made improvements throughout the year. He is especially excited for the future of his young players and the opportunities that next year holds for them.
