After getting off to a 5-0 start and a lot of momentum on their side, Bloomington High School's football squad saw the toughest part of its schedule become a challenge later in the season.

After a week nine win, Coach Niall Mulcahy is hoping that win will be the confidence boost they need to make a run in the Class 5A playoffs when they start this weekend.

For Coach Mulcahy, there's nothing wrong with facing some adversity, and hopes his team is going to be better for it going into the playoffs.

The Purple Raiders host Mascoutah Saturday evening at 6 pm.
