HS GBBall: Clinton Wins Big Over Olympia

In a game heard on WHOW and all its digital platforms, the Clinton Lady Maroons pulled ahead early and never looked back as they defeated the Olympia Lady Spartans by a final score of 74-44 in non-conference high school girls basketball action in the Eureka Tournament. 

 

The Lady Maroons were led by Carly Anderson, who posted 19 points and shot 75% from the foul line. Avery Smith scored 16 points, all in the paint, while Clara Dempsey added 14. Delaney Dempsey and Lilah Cluver both had 8. The team made 9 three-pointers as a team. 

 

The Lady Spartans were led by Addisyn Minder, who scored 13 points and went perfect when it came to free throws. Elyse Eimer scored 12 and made 2 threes. 

Olympia struggled offensively throughout the game and trailed by as much as 35 points at times, while the Maroons took advantage of their turnovers to pad their lead. 

 

With the win, Clinton improves to 1-2 and finds their first win of the season. Olympia falls to 0-2 and is still in the search. 

 

The Lady Maroons are off until Tuesday when they take on Athens at home.
