In a game heard on WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com, four players scored in double figures, and Williamsville sank 10 three pointers en route to a 61-41 romp over Monticello in non-conference high school boys basketball action Friday night at the Sievers Center in Monticello.
The Bullets used a 9-3 run to jump out early and never looked back. Williamsville made seven of its ten from beyond the arc in the first half. Jackson Sanders scored eight of his 16 points in the fourth quarter as the Bullets withstood a Monticello rally in the third quarter, getting to ten points at 49-39.
Dalton Root made five threes and finished with 15 points for Williamsville. Garrett Timm and Nolan Bryan each scored 11 points.
Ayden McCool led the Sages with 14 points. He was the State Bank of Bement player of the game.
Williamsville is 2-0 on the season.
