HS BBBall: Argenta-Oreana Comes Up Short to Central A&M

The Argenta-Oreana Bombers made a comeback effort in the third quarter, but fell short in the fourth and fell to the Central A&M Raiders by a final score of 58-44 in non-conference high school boys basketball action on Tuesday night in Cerro Gordo. 


Central A&M controlled the game early on, making the score 34-25 going into the half. The Bombers made adjustments and pushed after the half to close the gap to 43-40, but the Raiders fought back and held A-O to just four points in the fourth quarter. 


The Bombers were led by Jaxon Finch, who scored 12 points, while Carter Logue added 11. Each made two from beyond the arc. 


Talen Rhodes led all scorers with 25 points for Central A&M. Ace Spinner had 18, 12 of which came from deep. 


With the loss, Argenta-Oreana falls to 2-6 while Central A&M improves to 3-1.
