HS BBBall: Maroa-Forsyth Downs Rantoul

Kannon Grubbs scored a career-best 24 points, and Caebrin Lee added 29 points, leading Maroa-Forsyth over Rantoul 69-56 in non-conference high school boys basketball action from Rantoul on Tuesday night.

Grubbs scored all 24 from beyond the arc, sinking five threes in the first half.

Lee scored 18 of his 29 points in the second half for the Trojans.

Four players scored in double figures for the Eagles. Jonathon Couture scored 12 of his team-best 14 in the second half. Iysean Autman scored 12 points, and Levi Duitsman and Spencer Stockwill each scored 11 points.

Maroa-Forsyth improves to 4-2 overall. They host Warrensburg-Latham on Friday night.
