Four players scored in double-figures, and Warrensburg-Latham took advantage of a slow second quarter by Maroa-Forsyth for a 66-40 win in non-conference high school boys basketball action Friday night in Warrensburg.
The Cardinals used a 14-2 second quarter to open up a 27-24 lead going to the half after the Trojans started fast, leading 22-13 after one.
Caebrin Lee scored ten of his 12 points in the first quarter for Maroa-Forsyth. Coby Lane finished with 15 points for the Trojans.
Easton McKenzie led a balanced Cardinals attack with 16 points. Brennan Bonds scored 14 points, while Nathan Southern added 11 points, and Drew Czajkowski added ten points.
With the win, Warrensburg-Latham goes to 10-1 overall. They are in action next Friday at the Williamsville holiday tournament.
Maroa-Forsyth drops to 4-3 overall. They are in action Monday at the Decatur St. Teresa Holiday tournament.
