HS GBBall: Clinton Dominates Riverton 72-11

The Clinton Lady Maroons had no issues handling the Riverton Lady Hawks and rolled to a 72-11 victory in non-conference high school girls basketball action on Saturday in Clinton. 

 

Clinton held Riverton to just two points in the first half, while they ran away with the game to make the score 40-2 going into the third quarter. 

 

Coach Josh Williams would keep the Clinton starters in through the third, making the score 64-6, before he cleared the bench going into the final frame. 

 

Clinton was led by Clara Dempsey, who scored 19 points. Carly Anderson had 16, 12 of which came from distance. Avery Smith added 13 points while Ozzie Goar scored 10 in a breakout performance. 

 

The Lady Hawks were led by Briannah Walker, who scored 4 points, and Skyler Stokes had 3. 

 

With the win, Clinton improves to 13-4 while Riverton falls to 1-17.
