HS BBBall: Maroa-Forsyth Gets By Monticello

In a game heard on WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com, Caebrin Lee and Coby Lane led Maroa-Forsyth to a 49-43 win over Monticello on Saturday afternoon from the Sievers Center in non-conference high school boys' basketball action.

Lee scored nine points in the fourth quarter, and Lane had eight of his 13 points in the first half.

The two sides were within six points for most of the game.

Matthias Rudolph led Monticello with 15 points, scoring nine in the opening quarter, and was quiet the rest of the way. Nolan Buehnerkemper finished with nine points. He helped keep Lee in check throughout the entire game and was named the State Bank of Bement player of the game. 

The Trojans go to 11-4 overall. 

Monticello falls to 10-4. They host IVC on Tuesday night.
