HS BBBall: Clinton Topples Tuscola 65-49

In a game heard on WHOW and all its digital platforms, the Clinton Maroons attacked from the outside and had success at the foul line to take down the Tuscola Warriors by a final score of 65-49 in Central Illinois Conference action on Friday night in Clinton. 

 

The Maroons had the slight edge, leading just 15-13 after the first quarter. From there, they began to grow their lead, making it 36-25 at halftime and 54-39 after the third. 

 

Keaton Graves led all scorers with 37 points for Clinton. He made four 3-pointers and shot 5-for-6 from the foul line.  Jaeden Bell had 15 points while Keagan Daughtrey had seven points, all of which came in the first half. 

 

Logan Kurtz and Caiden Russo scored 10 points apiece for the Warriors. Tanner Block added eight. 

 

With the win, the Maroons improve to 17-5 and 2-0 in the CIC. Tuscoal falls to 17-4 and 1-1 in the Central Illinois Conference. 

 

Clinton will take on Peoria Christian on Saturday at 6 PM in Peoria.
