A slow second half was too much for Argenta-Oreana to overcome as the Bombers fell 51-38 to Arcola Saturday afternoon in Lincoln Prairie Conference high school boys basketball action in Arcola. 

The Bombers trailed 30-26 at the break but only mustered 12 total second-half points, as Arcola held off Argenta-Oreana thanks to balanced scoring.

Harris Mayhall had a game-high 16 points for the Purple Raiders. Sawyer Maxwell added 14 points, and Remi Roberts finished with 11 points.

The Bombers were led by Isaiah Parks' 12 points. Jaxon Finch and Kamryn Jenkins each scored 11 points.

Arcola improves to 10-9 overall and 3-2 in the Lincoln Prairie Conference.

Argenta-Oreana drops to 7-13 overall and 3-3 in the LPC.
