Clinton dominated Shelbyville and opened the Central Illinois Conference girls basketball tournament with a 58-28 win Saturday afternoon at Meridian High School.

Clara Dempsey scored 19 points to lead all scorers. Lilah Cluver added 17 points while Carly Anderson finished with 12 points.

The Lady Maroons continue pool play for the CIC tournament next week at Meridian when they battle Warrensburg-Latham on Tuesday.
