Monticello used a big third quarter to pull past Tolono Unity for a 45-37 win in Illini Prairie Conference high school girls basketball action Friday night from the Sievers Center in Monticello.

Trailing 15-10 at the intermission, the Lady Sages used a 22-12 frame to pull out in front and never looked back.

Lexi Leatherwood scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Lady Sages. Sara Cresap added 12 points while Emma Arnold grabbed a game-best ten boards to lead Monticello on the glass. 

Monticello goes to 14-12 overall and 3-4 in the Illini Prairie Conference. The Lady Sages will take on Seneca at the Seneca Shootout this afternoon at 2:30 pm.
