The Argenta-Oreana Bombers fell to the Auburn Trojans by a final score of 62-54 on Saturday in non-conference boys basketball action at the Sangamo Shootout in Maroa. 

The Bombers led 10-8 after the first quarter, but slid in the second as the Trojans took the 22-16 lead. After three, the Trojans led 39-35 and never looked back. 

Argenta-Oreana was led by Jaxon Finch, who scored 21 points, including 5 buckets from distance. Isaiah Parks had 14 points, and Carter Logue scored 13.

Jacob Barnth led all scorers with 26 points for the Trojans. Levi Smith added nine points, all of which came from beyond the three-point line. 

The Bombers fall to 8-17, while Auburn improves to 11-14. 

Argenta-Oreana will play host to Villa Grove on Tuesday at 7 pm.
