The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans beat the Pleasant Plains Cardinals by a final score of 63-49 on Saturday in the Sangamo Shootout in Maroa.
The Trojans led 19-8 after the first quarter, but the Cardinals brought it back to within 9, trailing 31-22 at halftime. Maroa-Forsyth pushed their lead back to 48-35 after the third quarter.
Caebrin Lee led all scorers with 27 points for Maroa-Forsyth, 13 of which came in the first quarter. Luke Smith and Kannon Grubbs both scored 15 for the Trojans.
Pleasant Plains falls to 7-18, and 1-4 in the Sanagamo Conference.
The Trojans improve to 15-7 and 4-1 in Sangamo Conference play. They travel to Williamsville on Tuesday. Tipoff is at 7 PM.
