The Monticello Lady Sages beat the Danville Lady Vikings by a final score of 51-44 in non-conference high school girls basketball action on Thursday night in Danville.
Monticello led 12-11 after the first quarter, and grew the gap to 23-19 at the half. They outscored the Lady Vikings 28-25 in the second half.
Ali Weidner paced Monticello with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Mady Melton had 14 points and was just one rebound short of a double-double with nine.
Monticello finishes the regular season with a record of 17-14, while Danville falls to 10-17.
