Blaine Friedmansky hit two home runs and Braeden Barber fired five shutout innings leading Lexington over Clinton 8-0 in non-conference high school boys baseball action on Friday afternoon in Clinton.
Friedmansky's home run in the second inning to make the score 3-0 and his second homer in the sixth made it 7-0.
Brock Wilson, Jack Manning and Jaxon Reynolds collected the only hits for the Maroons.
Barber went five innings of shutout ball in relief of Friedmansky. Barber struck out eight, permitted three hits and issued just one walk.
The Maroons are 0-2 on the season. The Maroons have a double dip in round-robin action Saturday with Bloomington Cornerstone Christian Academy and then Tri-Valley early in the afternoon.
