Brett Hayes singled in the tying run and scored the winning run on a wild pitch as Lincoln rallied to a 5-4 win over Riverton in non-conference high school baseball action Friday afternoon in Lincoln.
The Railsplitters went ahead 3-0 early in the game. The Hawks rallied with a three-spot in the top of the fifth inning and went ahead 4-3 with a run in the sixth.
But the Railers quickly got its lead back thanks to Hayes.
Hayes finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Grady Rutledge and Bryce Vlahovich each finished 2-for-3. Karson Komnick added an RBI, finishing 1-for-2.
Lincoln goes to 2-0 on the season. They travel to Olympia on Saturday morning.
