In a game heard on WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com, Madison Highland twirled four scoreless innings and went 3-for-3 at the plate as Monticello rolled Decatur St. Teresa 15-0 in a four-inning, run-rule win in non-conference high school softball in Monticello on Tuesday.
Highland drove in two and was on base all four times with a walk.
She struck out one, walked one, and permitted four hits.
Highland was the State Bank of Bement player of the game.
Reece Stiger hit a solo home run for the Lady Sages. Isabella Beery had a team-best three RBIs with a two-run single in a seven-run third inning that broke the game open.
Ali Weidner drove in two for Monticello, and Annie Robinson had a double.
Decatur St. Teresa drops to 5-4 overall.
Monticello goes to 8-2. They will visit Chatham-Glenwood on Thursday.
