A three-run second inning was all Maroa-Forsyth needed as they held off Pana 5-2 in non-conference high school baseball action on Tuesday in Forsyth.
Kaden Blunck doubled in a run to make it 1-0 Trojans in the second. With the bases loaded, Coby Lane walked in a run to make it 2-0, and a wild pitch scored the third run of the inning.
Ace Giles had a run-scoring hit for Maroa-Forsyth.
Three pitchers combined to allow just one earned run. Grady Rose had three strikeouts in tw shutout innings for the Trojans.
Maroa-Forsyth is 5-2-1. They visit PORTA-AC Central on Tuesday for its Sangamo Conference opener.
