Ashley Schelling struck out ten and led Meridian to a 10-2 win over Clinton in Central Illinois Conference high school softball action on Tuesday in Meridian.

Schelling allowed two runs on three hits and issued just one walk. She also hit a home run and drove in three runs for the Lady Hawks.

Analise Thompson and Laney Brewer drove in runs for Clinton. Brewer, Hadley Humble, and Avery Smith added hits for Clinton.

Meridian goes to 8-1 overall. 

The Lady Maroons drop to 3-8 overall and 0-1 in the CIC. They host Tuscola on Thursday.
