Lincoln used balanced offense to take two from Prairie Central, 8-2 and 10-5 in a non-conference double-dip sweep on Saturday in Fairbury.
In the opening 8-2 win, Karson Komnick pitched into the seventh inning, and Ashton Lucas drove in three runs.
Lucas was 3-for-4 and stole a base in addition to his three RBIs.
Komnick was an out short of the complete game, going 6 2/3 innings with eight strikeouts. He permitted three hits, two walks, and two runs.
Owen Comstock drove in two in the win. Gabe Rutledge was 3-for-5 with an RBI, while Cooper Koehler added a run batted in.
In the second game, Comstock drove in three runs in a nine-inning marathon that the Railsplitters scored five runs in the top of the ninth inning to take home the Saturday sweep.
Carson Fuiten hit a two-run single to make it 7-5 in the top of the ninth. Komnick followed with a run-scoring single, and Rutledge finished the scoring with a fielder's choice scoring play.
Fuiten had a double and drove in two runs in the second game, and Rutledge added a triple, finishing 3-for-6.
Lincoln goes to 9-6 overall. They are off until Thursday when they host Champaign Central.
