Karissa Cook homered, leading a Heyworth power surge in an 11-4 win over Decatur St. Teresa on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference high school softball from Decatur.

Cook was 2-for-5 with two RBIs for the Lady Hornets - who pounded out six extra base hits in the contest.

Natalie Kopp doubled twice and drove in three runs, finishing 3-for-4. Lauren Streenz, Haley Rogers, and Alia Riddle added doubles for Heyworth. 

Kopp overcame five errors and six walks in circle to fight through seven complete innings. She struck out eight and permitted four hits. 

Heyworth goes to 17-11 overall. They visit Champaign St. Thomas More on Thursday.
