Clinton Farmers Market Taking Advantage of Apple n' Pork Crowds

Attendees of the Apple n' Pork Festival in Clinton each year can take advantage of trams that run from one side of the community to the other.

One of the stops of those trams is on the downtown Clinton Square, where for the summer and fall months, the Clinton Area Farmers and Artisans Market, CAFAM, sets up each Saturday. Elizabeth Burns with the CAFAM, explains they allow vendors who have set up once during their season to come and be a part of the Apple n' Pork weekend.

The early rains of the growing season really hampered the availability of fruits and vegetables this spring. Burns notes though, the late season of the market was very strong with seasonal pumpkins.

The farmers market just wrapped up for the season this past weekend however, to be a part of future markets next year and qualify for a tent at the Apple n' Pork Festival, contact the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce to have the information forwarded to the leaders of the Clinton farmers market.

Burns says they are going to be working hard this winter to find more vendors and increase the variety and options for their regular attendees.
