The Decatur Park District is joining in on the America 250 fun this weekend. 

On the WHOW Morning Show Tuesday, Special Recreation & Public Relations Supervisor Ken Frye told the Hart Media Group that this Saturday, the Scovill Zoo will have free carousel rides, and the first 250 visitors will get a coupon for a free snow cone. The night will be capped off with live music at the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater and fireworks over Lake Decatur. 

Frye notes that attractions like Splash Cove and the Overlook Minigolf Course will also be open that day. He says they keep them operating for those who are looking for fun on their day off from work.
