Ace Giles and Kaden Blunck drove in three runs apiece, and Maroa-Forsyth exploded late for a 12-2, run-rule win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda in non-conference high school baseball action on Saturday in Paxton.

 

The Trojans trailed 2-0 going to the fourth inning, but back-to-back six-run frames ended the game in five innings.

 

Maroa-Forsyth didn't have an extra base hit for the game. Giles was 2-for-3 with three runs batted in, while Blunck was 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

 

Grady Rose added two RBIs for the Trojans. 

 

Blunck struck out seven innings of shutout relief. 

 

Maroa-Forsyth goes to 4-1 overall. They host Lemont on Monday at 11 am.
