Sadie Walsh hit a walk-off three-run home run as Monticello took down Charleston 10-7 in non-conference high school softball action on Saturday in Monticello.
With two outs and the score tied at 7-7, Meadow Miller singled to center. Thea Key followed with a single to left.
Walsh followed with a blast to center that helped the Lady Sages hold off a furious comeback by Charleston.
Walsh drove in a run with a double in a two-run first for Monticello. She scored Miller on a sac-fly in the second, and Cassidee Stoffel singled in a run two batters later to make it 5-0 Monticello.
Charleston would score seven of the next nine runs to tie the score at 7-7 in the seventh.
Key finished 4-for-4 with four runs scored. Walsh was 3-for-4 with five RBIs and three runs scored. Annie Robinson and Reece Stiger each added doubles for Monticello.
