St. Joseph-Ogden outlasted Monticello 3-1 in an Illini Prairie Conference high school softball showdown Wednesday in Monticello. 

The Lady Spartans jumped out to a 3-0 lead after four innings. 

Thea Key drove in the only Lady Sages run in the fifth. Ali Weidner was 2-for-3 with a double to lead Monticello's offense. 

The Lady Sages drop to 18-6 overall. They visit Rantoul on Thursday.
