A staple of the Clinton business community is celebrating a special milestone this year.

On the WHOW Morning Show, Jay Peterson, owner of the Peterson Insurance agency in Clinton, says his father started the business 60 years ago on South Center Street before moving to their current location on Main Street.

According to Peterson, to meet the demand of a lot of companies they contract with, expansion started to become a necessity for them to continue to be viable as an independent agency.

The Peterson Insurance Agency is celebrating its 60th anniversary with an open house on Tuesday, August 4, from 10 am to 3 pm at its office on Main Street, on Clinton Square.
