The Clinton CUSD #15 is seeking candidates for a Board of Education appointment to fill a vacancy created by the July 30th, 2026, resignation of John Heinlen.
Board President Pro-Tempore Tammie Ennis expresses gratitude on behalf of the Board for Heinlen's dedication to the community and thanks him for his years of service to the students, staff, and residents as a member of the Clinton CUSD #15 Board of Education.
This appointment will be until the 2027 election. The Board has 60 days to fill the Board vacancy.
At a minimum, applicants for the School Board position must be a United States citizen, at least 18 years of age, and a resident of Illinois and the district for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment.
Applicants must also not have been convicted of a sexual crime against children, not hold an incompatible public office, not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the district, and not hold certain types of prohibited State or federal employment.
Qualified candidates may email a resume to Tennis@cusd15.org or drop it off at the District Office located at 1210 State Route 54 West, Clinton, IL 61727. All materials should be placed in a sealed envelope, attention: School Board.
A resume and letter of interest must be turned in by 4 PM on August 14th, 2026.
