Mt. Pulaski outlasted Williamsville in a contentious, back-and-forth 5-4 win in non-conference high school baseball action in Mt. Pulaski on Friday.
The Hilltoppers had to rally twice.
They fell behind 1-0 in the first, going ahead for the first time in the second inning, 2-1. Then Mt. Pulaski went in front 4-3.Two runs in the bottom of the sixth put the Hilltoppers in front for good, 5-4.
Tucker Fitzpatrick brought in the ultimate winning run, reaching on an error in the bottom of the sixth. He was 0-for-2 but accounted for two RBIs.
Chase Roberts and Keoni Charron had RBIs for Mt. Pulaski while Jaeden Jackson hit a pair of doubles.
Williamsville Coach BJ Halford was ejected from the game.
The Hilltoppers are 1-2. They host Litchfield on Saturday.
