A nine-run fifth inning broke through a slow start for Normal Community as the Ironmen shut out Urbana 10-0 in a five-inning, run-rule win in Big 12 Conference high school baseball action on Wednesday in Urbana.

Carter Reiners fired a no-hitter across five innings of shutout ball with eight strikeouts and issued just one walk.

Max Heineman, Carter Harris, and Beckett Weber contributed doubles for Normal Community. Tyce Beckman had two RBIs. 

Normal Community goes to 22-2 overall and 12-1 in the Big 12 Conference. They will host Urbana on the return of a home-and-home in Big 12 play on Friday.
