This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Casey Lyon, of Illiopolis!
From Casey: "The story of 'Tyson' is truly one for the ages. November 7th at 5:05p, this buck of a lifetime walked by me at 25 yards, and I still cannot really believe it. I have known this deer for 3 years, and have pursued him for 2. From a nice 3 1/2 year old, to a 170 inch 4 1/2 year old, and finally a 184 inch 5 1/2 year old, this buck has taught me many new concepts of hunting. I watched this buck on the morning of Halloween both tend and breed a doe and capture it on camera, which is a once in a lifetime event in itself. Little did I know, a week later, I would be sitting behind this magnificent animal. Chasing whitetails is a humbling experience, and I have without a doubt been humbled by this one. It’s an amazing honor to have had the opportunity to pursue a deer of this caliber. I am forever grateful. Thank you Tyson, for everything. Thank you Alena for the harvest photos."
Casey will join us this weekend to tell the story!
